Out of boredom, I made a look that I don't know where I got hahaha.. I guess it reminds me of the ancient egyptian pharaoh. Again and again... sorry for the photo's resolution I've been using the web camera of my macbook since my hubby is not available at times I do my look, aside from the bad lighting where my laptop is placed.

Here you go... I don't have falsies still.. I promise on my next looks I would put falsies to enhance the look.

Fall to Winter 2011 Beauty Trends

I was browsing over the fashion websites like harpers bazaar and our vanity. I saw the looks for this Fall and Winter (though it never snow in Singapore) or should I say the look for the last quarter of the year till early 2012.

All reviews from these sites are straight from the runway.

Fall/Winter trends are more invative. It goes from barely there makeup look, to bright bold contradicting vampy lips and oh so neutral smokey metallics to a warm orangey eyes. Top it off with brighter looking eyes with great mascara and more thicker cat line The trends for this season is really classy and sophisticated with a touch of hype.

1. Nude make up trends - This is one of my favorite, most of the presented runway look this fall/winter is the barely-there make up trend. Which is everyone knows my fave. I like the fact that it just accentuates and enahnce the beauty that is already within the model. It is fresh and natural. As always "less is more" never goes out of style.

Barely-there Nude on runway, celebrities with different race and colors it still trendy and fresh looking for anyone.

Runway models and celebrities with no make up-makeup :)

 2. Vampy Lips - From the looks of it, if there is nude, there would definitely be vivid, bright colors. That goes to contradict the natural looking make up. Runway models at some instance show case their vampire-looking lips of different colors. The lips from bright red to even fuschia almost purple shade are all over the runway too. I guess it compliments the nudeness of a face make up better.

3. Thick Eyebrows - is still in. Overly plucked eyebrows is still not on trend. Thick, natural and almost boyish brows are in. Runway models showcase their thick brows for fall-winter 2011-2012 catwalk. I love this brows because it makes you look younger and innocent.

4. Accentuated eyes - Liners and mascara, helps accentuate the eyes, fall and winter runway also ramped up the models with enahnce cateye to sculpt the eyes and no lash extension, just dark stumpy clumpy lashes.Smudge dark shadow on the outer corner and under the lower lash line to give it a definition.

5. Various Colored Smokey and Orange-ish shadows - Metallic grey, silvery-blue, purplish and brownish, sea green  smoked eyes. Basically classic version of smokey eyes presented in unusual eyeshadow combination. Not only the traditional smokey eye is present but a new makeup trend with a mix and match of orange shades of shadow.

Review: Cure Aqua Gel

Quick Review about this skin care product I've been using recently.

I've seen this product from two of my favorite YT gurus Bubz and Jen of Frmheadtotoe. I was lucky enough that it is all over Singapore. I tried it and loved it. Take note, it is so different from that old school glue-like cream that was selling like hotcakes before that removes deadskin cells. This is water base and you can really see the effect after washing your face and the next day.

It absorbs my moisturizer better and it really cleans deeply. I use it twice a week and so far I'm loving it!

Playing with palettes

I've been playing with palettes for a few days. I've tried different enchanting, fantasy look. I am preparing for Tey's 2nd leg of photoshoot. She'll be like a sea goddess or mermaid. Whatever Chris decides.

I tried blue and green again being my two fave colors. I tried the eye candy look inspired by one of the youtube guru I've watched but this is with a twist. I won't discuss how I did it. I just wanna show it. Anyways it may not be a wearable type of look for day to day unless you wanna make a scene hehehe.

Green and Blue with glitters.. it looks dirt due to poor lightings hahaha

When I open my eyes here is what it looks like.. I put double wing tip

Another angle whole face looking down

Upclose no unfinished look
In person the eye colors are very bright but my mac camera looks so pale
this is the whole look it was edited the lightings are changed because I wanna show the eyes but it didn't help hehehe

I also did a wearable look using my fave Urban Decay Naked palette and Bare Palette of Sigma. The  everyday look and pin up look with red lips.. I've messed up with the liner bec my son is with me that time

here it is with a shot from my mac webcam

 That's all folks hehehe

Tutorial: Denize and Audrey's look

I did the make up for Denize and Audrey for their photoshoot. They're sisters by the way. Denize wants her look(actually her aunt) to be just like Katy Perry in Fireworks and for Audrey, she likes anything goes as look as it would look chic and sophisticated for her. I've recreate Katy Perry's look in fireworks you can check it here

Let's start with the tutorial for Denize's look first:

I've used Urban Decay for Denize but as an alternative I've give you other shadow color you could use.

If you are going out like a party all night then you have to make sure you prime your eyes to avoid creasing of the shadow or fading.

Step 1: Use a base shadow on your lids, make sure that it is same or a bit lighter that your skin color. Preferably matte (no shimmer or glitter).
Step 2: Dab you lid with either gold shimmery shadow or any cream beige with yellow undertone or gold undertone.
Step 3: Use a matte black or brown black (whatever you prefer) to the outer V of your eyes.. going up to the crease line to give it a definition.
Step 4: Shade your brow bone with a neutral cream or beige with a bit of shimmer for highlight
Step 5: As always blend.

Add black liner on lashline and waterline and finish with mascara.

For the lips Katy has a pinkish maroon tone of lips but Denize wanted an red lips instead.

Here is the look I did for myself.. no lips just the eyes:
My look, no liner yet no false lashes

Here is Denize's finished look:

She's got falsies here

For Audrey's look.. I have no basis so I need to think of something that would fit her facial features
She's got a very nice face shape so small no need for contouring. Her eyes are small with very very tiny almost monolid type.

I've decided to user silver and black.

Step 1: Use a white base shadow on your lids, to make the silver stand out.
Step 2: Apply a bit of dark silver on the lids extending a bit to your crease line.
Step 3: Use a black to the outer V of your eyes.. going up to the crease line to give it a definition.
Step 4: Use the excess black shadow to the 3/4s of the waterline for definition. Then white liner to the 1/4 to make small eyes look bigger.
Step 5: line and smudge the lashline (not tight line) and wing it. It would look a bit loud if we use liquid liner so I've used pencil and black shadow combo. We want it subtle.
Step 6: Shade your brow bone with a neutral cream or beige with a bit of shimmer for highlight
Step 7: As always blend.

Here is the look on Audrey's eyes. She's very pretty with pale pink lips and a pinkish coral blush.
